Written and first recorded in 2007, it was a birthday gift from a then significant other of mine. Really, it was a going away gift as I was headed to the monastery for a three-month stay. During that time of my life, stays at the monastery could have turned into life-long commitments. I wanted sometimes just to live like a monastic. I enjoyed the peace that the practice of meditation and a simple, yet full life could bring. Miracle, like with its catchy hooks and tweetable, t-shirt-able lyrics is a fan favorite, often requested, and performed in numerous concerts in the United States, including at the monastery (see my youtube channel Brian Otto Kimmel.)
